Hi all - I started building out a security camera system but only got as far as building out the computer and installing software/configuring it.

Dell OptiPlex 7040 - i7 6700 @ 3.4 GHz
16 GB RAM
400GB SSD (was planning to add a surveillance HDD next but that didn't happen).
Win10 Pro (OEM in case you want to do a fresh install)
Agent DVR and CodeProject AI installed and configured.
17in Dell Monitor
Wired keyboard and mouse

Asking $350 local cash pickup or same price for just the computer delivered (no monitor, KB, mouse). Cash, PayPal F&F, or Venmo. PayPal regular if you'll cover the 3% fee they charge.

I live in Hatboro, PA 19040.

It's a box of shit. with the kiss of death TPM module that wont allow Win11.

The wiki is old and there are better models newer faster for the same price. Like the I-5 8500 which is faster and will also run Windows 11 this PC will not.
 
Accidentally came across this about Windows 11 ungrade. Fact or Fiction? You maybe able to install Windows 11 on a PC without the TPM module. This appears to be an easy workaround at least for some of you. Youtube video under GetConnected Media, video labeled The easiest windows 11 upgrade workaround for unsupported PCs. Hope this may helps those with older machines wanting to upgrade.

The issue is not just the lack of tpm 2. Windows 11 requires an 8th gen processor or later. Even when it could be done, you are going to spend all that time dicking around with it when you can buy a new more powerful more efficient eighth gen system for 150? Makes no sense. These methods work until MS decides to not let them work...

Yep, MS will no doubt stop you with their first update. Caveat Emptor...
 
FYI - Microsoft Windows 10 will note that a Dell i7-6700 can not be upgraded to Windows 11 .. Windows 10 will be the end of line it seems for i7-6700 Dells ..
