DH-IPC-HDW3649H-AS-PV-ANZ Stuck on Firmware Upgrade

Hi,

Beginner here, was upgrading my camera and it got stuck. I rebooted and lost access to it.

Have tried everything I could from using config tool to TFTPD but no luck.

It boots up and sets itself to 192.168.1.108. If I set the same IP to my PC, the IP changes so assuming its boot loader is working.

Config tool cannot detect it and it wont show on my NVR either, can only ping it.

Tried TFTPD, reset it heaps of times and also tried to put the firmware into the micro sd card but nothing changes.

This is the firmware I am trying that matches the camera model:

I cannot extract the .img files out of the .bin (tried 7zip, winrar, and BinWalk)
7 zip extracted two files out but errors out on install.

I have also ordered CP2102 USB to TTL UART 5PIN Serial Converter Module with Jumper Wires from ebay following this thread: Dahua IPC EASY unbricking / recovery over TFTP

Appreciate the help. I believe it can be fixed and I am just missing the knowledge. Thanks for the help.

You shouldn't update firmware, unless you are having an issue that you believe an update will fix.
Best rule is, if it isn't broke, don't fix it.

When updating firmware on a cam, before you start, reset the camera back to factory defaults, repeat this 3 times.

Make sure the camera and the computer/network stays powered on.
Update the firmware, then reset again back to factory defaults 3 times.

Do no import settings, set the cam back up from scratch.

Have you tried resetting it with the little black button inside the sd card door? Hold down for 30 seconds while powered
