That's a whooooole lot of new camera's to figure out.
Interested in what the prices are going to be; most likely more expensive than current models.
But definitely some interesting models.

For example:
IPC-HDW5241TM-AS
2MP, fixed focal en IR. | 0.01232Lux/F1.6 (Color,1/30s,30IRE)
If price is reasonable this could be a great replacement for the IPC-HDW4231EM-ASE since it's pretty much the same but much more sensitive.

Or these two:
IPC-HDW5241TM-AS-LED
2MP, fixed focal en white LED | 0.01232Lux/F1.6 (Color,1/30s,30IRE)
IPC-HDW5442TM-AS-LED
4MP, fixed focal en white LED | 0.01482Lux/F1.6 (Color,1/30s,30IRE)

Basically two nice alternatives for the IPC-HDBW4239R-ASE and IPC-HFW4239T-ASE if you like color image 24/7 but don't have enough external visible light.
(You do have to tolerate the bright LED lights of the camera during the night; personally I like darkness during the night)
Interesting about the last two is the tiny difference between the sensitivity despite 2MP versus 4MP.

EDIT: after I posted this messsage I started wondering whether the white LED's can be turned the entire night or just when motion is detected. I hope they can be on the entire night.

Today checked with @fenderman will get some models to try out, the new camera still have a long way to make it working perfect. Price will be more expensive than the currently ones.:) Sample can be ready Middle May.

Is it the AI function that makes it expensive? Do they have the similar spec cameras in non AI for lower price?

AI is the trend, price will be cheaper as technology advances:)

Here comes “The Matrix”, guys! :

AI was developed by humanity in the early 21st century, which was united in celebration as they gave birth to it. This ultimately enabled an entire race of Machines to become capable of thinking and acting for themselves.

As far as I can tell its an either/or thing. If it has the white light LED's you sacrifice IR.

They dont seem to have the white LED versions in VF though, only fixed 2.8/3.6/6mm. However, at least according to the specs, the new model IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E is a bit better low light than the 5231E-Z12E

Here's the one I have, should be very similar to the 2MP IP version - IPC-HDW5241TM-AS-LED

(remember to switch YT player to 1080p)

Doesn´t the white LED on attract lots of bugs on the camera?

Also, you´re lucky with the HAC models since they have built-in mic.. The IP eyeball models don´t seem to have it, not even the audio in/out. Only the IP bullet models have audio in/out.

The new turrets seem to have the same 3D noise reduction and audio compression specs as the 5231 turret (which has a mic). They don’t say N/A like the 2231 turret (which definitely doesn’t have a mic), so that’s a good sign. But we all know how accurate the spec sheets can be. :banghead: ;)

I will get some samples to test here firstly, and then we calculate the price. New models samples can be ready late May or early June.

You were right. The turrets (HDW5241TM-AS-LED) now have built-in-MIC.

Will have sample soon, then everything will be clear. Lol.

@bigredfish , The image appears to be pretty good in the white LED and porch light examples so long as you are not moving at all, but drop down considerably with even slight and slow motion. Not bad, but a serious drop. I wonder if adjusting the settings for faster shutter more gain a bit would make that better of too grainy.

Yep, though not all that bad, I could drop shutter a bit. Its a very dark hole, at some point anyone who comes to the door hesitates/stops (or they run into the door!)
I'll pull some still captures and see what we get

Interesting..... the camera does not allow me to manually adjust exposure  All of my other CVI cams do like any IP cam... hmmmm. Cant be certain it isnt buggy firmware as the selection is there, but it wont let me get to the manual setting.

I do think most of the blur was from too high DNR setting, though I would obviosly like to be able to set manual exposure which would help.

nice pizza girl, LOL.
The LED camera really good compare to the normal IR one. @bigredfish you are the guy always use led camera:cool:

Agree with @bug99 that there is more motion blur than I had with the 2231 (CVI version) but it’s acceptable in this location.

Still disappointing that it won’t let me manually adjust Exp... wtf?
