Die Young TikTok Craze

^ I am so sick of the media calling them 'pranks'. These are assaults, not pranks. The people involved in these need to be charged with assault and pay the penalty. The social media companies that allow this to be posted need to be held accountable just as much as the person posting it. The social media companies need to be charged with the assault and pay the victim cash for it. How about $1000 per view of the clip?

Excerpt:

"....Tustin Police Department said “four male juveniles entered Target” at approximately 2:45 p.m., walking around before “one of them picked up a bucket and placed it over the head of an adult female shopper.”
“As a result of the incident, the female shopper likely fainted and was transported to a local hospital in stable condition and a police report was taken,” the statement said. “It is likely the juveniles were attempting to replicate the current social media trend where they place a bucket on a stranger’s head and film their reaction. There is no current threat to the community.”
Oh, there may not be a "threat to the community" but I can say this.....if I was this lady's husband, boyfriend or brother, those boys would be looking over their should for a while and would damn well know I was out there and that was VERY displeased with them. Either that or my California lawyer would be seeing their parents in civil court.

Play stupid games.....

“Please stop contacting my school, my school has caught me and I am facing expulsion. Can’t believe you would do this to (a) minor,” the boy wrote, according to the Herald Sun.

Kid got exactly what he deserved, IMO....:headbang::mad:

He thought he was big shit for doing something thaat stupid. When it backfired on him, then he uses the "minor" card for sympathy. He deserves what he gets. Maybe he will think next time before doing something stupid, and recoding it on video.

Might be spilt milk but it's still assault. Maybe explusion is a bit hasrh but he deserves a few detentions as a minimum and some life lessons.

I used to invert a butane refill can and run a line across the kitchen, then light it. The whole kitchen would be on fire, for like 2 seconds. I've done much, much more dangerous things with fire. Not endorsing it, but the way to be competent with something is to survive the experimentation stage.

So, around the corner from me some kids did this craze but upped the ante for likes by wearing a scream mask with a knife and banging on the door again so someone would answer and then they would say "Prepare to meet your maker" and run off.

They knocked on one house around 10:30pm and the wife answered and once they said that she screamed and fainted. Apparently it startled the person and they froze in shock. Her husband jumps up and sees his pregnant wife on the ground with this person standing over her with a knife (turned out it was fake).

He jumps over his wife and tackles the person to the ground and beats the $H!+ out of them. His older kid called 911 and they were in the neighborhood and was there pretty quick.

Wife ended up losing the baby. Her husband was arrested because he beat the crap out of a larger than normal 14 year year that he didn't know was 14 years old because he was masked and bigger than most 14 year olds... The kid's father had the decency to not press charges or agree to show up for any court date because he knew his kid was the one in the wrong.

What a messed up world we live in.
I watched this video, and I was shocked. People used to do dangerous things to feel the adrenaline rush. A little later, people started doing crazy things to take a #selfie. Now people are setting their hair on fire or hitting strangers to shoot a TikTok. It's scary!
I also have a TikTok page. But I'll never accept these challenges. I won't play with the fire, smoke at gas stations, etc. My content is absolutely safe. I shoot a review on optics and phones.

Trends reach some absurdity, and people shame themselves. I understand that now everyone wants popularity and money, but no one can prevent others from living peacefully for likes. In extreme cases, you can contact services like Social Followers Free for you to gain an audience in TikTok. I never understood all sorts of pranks that people shoot, make random passers-by feel awkward or uncomfortable. The audience comes to those who do something worthwhile, but people don't like to look at bullying others for a long time
agree with you

Of all the places in the U.S. to try and kick in a door, I would not dare do so in FL or TX...unless I had a death wish. This just helps to clarify the gene pool for future generations.

Matter of fact, there was an episode of "Law & Order" about this, season 22/episode 12, entitled "Almost Famous".

Having that mask on could get him shot. This afternoon I saw Amazon had dropped off a package at my front door. I did not go get it right away. I did a few things and then went to the front door not having looked at the cams for several minutes.

I open the front door just as a young lady was walking to my front porch. We both were startled. She was about ten feet from me at the time.

Imagine if this had happened late at night to someone and they had opened the door to that guy with the mask? Timing is everything.

Yeah, some of these trends just seem to get riskier. I guess that’s part of why social media is so crazy right now. I work with a social media agency like GetLikes, and they actually help creators focus on building an audience without resorting to stunts. It’s nuts to think how much things have changed, but honestly, that need for attention has always been there—it’s just louder now.
