Ezviz Disables RTPS for its IP Cameras, Here is the fix!

Hello All,
My two cents, in hope it helps somebody else.

For the CS-C1HC, after the update v5.3.2 build 230616, rtsp stopped working.
  • Disabling encryption, did NOT help.
  • Hard reboot did NOT work.
Then I downloaded the firmware from this URL:
Code:
https://usdownload.ezvizlife.com/device/CS-C1HC-E0-1E2WF-KJDS/2.0/CS-C1HC-E0-1E2WF-KJDS.dav
Zip file included.

Flashing it with the EZVIZ Studio, finally worked. The downloaded version says that is the same like the one which was updated to.
Only difference is that flashing with Studio App, it seams re-enables RTSP.

Keep up the good work!
Have a nice day

Hi,
Fix #2 was the Solution for my C2C, thanks a lot:thumb:

I quote your post, cause I'm going to buy a couple c2c cams. What concerned me was I had to use their propietary app. So what do you recommend to do once I get the cams. Check firmware version, or go straight to see if they can stream on RTSP ? I was going to use VlC. Also question, is it posible to use 2 way audio some other way than cellphone app?. IT's really a pain in the ass to not be able to have web access. but at least with RTSP stream I can live with.
Let me know what steps should I take. Regarding also firmware, how to downgrade and how to check if RTSP is enabled.

Thanks in advance.

Looking for the C3X firmware. I, too, am plauged with the auto enabling of RTSP across 13 cameras. Complete dealbreaker but too far invested at this point.

The following links do not work:

https://usdownload.ezvizlife.com/device/CS-CV310-C1-6B22WFR/2.0/CS-CV310-C1-6B22WFR.dav
https://usdownload.ezvizlife.com/device/CS-CV310-C1-6B22WFR/CS-CV310-C1-6B22WFR.dav

Looking for anyone that might be able to shed some light on either the URL's to grab firmware from or the actual downgraded .dav file itself.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

Both links "work" for me in that they take me to a .dav file...do you mean the CONTENT of the links do not work for you? :idk:

First post. Complete idiocy ..:slap:

They do indeed work ... please disregard. And THANK YOU!

With that said at least there's a reference to the C3X on this thread now :)

Warm welcome to the community! Thanks again @TonyR

I don't know if you guys are aware, but Ezviz is turning off RTSP for its IP cameras in its 2023 firmware.

Fix #1
In some cameras it can still be turned on via the Ezviz Android/iOS app (Settings > LAN Live View > Start scanning > Camera > Settings > Local Service Settings > Enable RTSP).

This RTSP settings doesn't appear for all Ezviz cameras but just some.

Fix #2
Some people claim that using "Advanced setting" in Ezviz PC Studio fixed RTSP for them.

1) Install Ezviz PC Studio, go to the root directory of Ezviz Studio in your PC and find the folder named "config".
2) Copy the file named "AppConfig.ini" in the folder of "config" to desktop. Open "AppConfig.ini" in desktop.
3) Add the following command which highlighted in yellow in "AppConfig.ini" and save before exiting:

[LocalOperation]
Show=1

4) Copy the "AppConfig.ini" file in desktop to folder of "config" and overlay the old one. Refresh the device page in EZVIZ Studio or reopen the Studio, then you will see the "Advanced" under "All my devices", press on it and enter verification code.

Fix #3
For some cameras like the C3A, nothing will work and you must downgrade firmware, that's how to do it:

Install Ezviz Studio and enable advance settings as described above.

In advanced settings, look for "Device type" and try to obtain an older version, you can try searching by the following URL prefix.

For example:

In Ezviz Studio, advanced settings, under System Maintenance, there is an option to flash the .dav from a PC.
