First Vid - HuisunPTZ Night (no IR)

I don't think most of the Chinese sellers really care. They can offer prices so much better than other countries that they don't have to put any effort into the ad. Just copy/paste the specs from a competitors item (half of which are inaccurate for their own item) and put a low price on it and they'll still have more than enough buyers to keep them busy.

Heck, the way they butcher the specs with inaccurate copy/pastes, I wouldn't trust that pics/video clips in the ad actually came from the cam that they're selling anyway. Just last week we were looking at that speed dome that had a "live demo" link in the ad, which turned out to be a live demo of a completely different cam with different resolution and other specs.

Also, the way other sellers steal content, it really hurts any desire to put in the effort to create a good video clip. All would happen is another seller would steal your video, put it in their own ad and offer the item for $1 less. All that video creator's work just went to help their competitor sell more items.

Well yeah...selling widgets is work, and why work when you can get someone else to do it for you for free!?! :) Still, a fabricator can create a simple 1-2 minute video, watermarked, to show the operation and features of a given camera, and link it to their vendors (whoever those are), then I wouldn't have to rely on a fellow member risking time and money and doing 'the work' of showing off the cam's abilities, or digging around youtube to see if a vid exists. It seems such a basic, technologically elementary sales tool for this widget. Then again, if Huisun spent the few minutes to set up an Amazon store, that would drive sales overnight, particularly with a promo vid, and they don't bother with that...probably couldn't even fulfill a dozen orders anyway, from what we've seen. Mystifying!

You could be right, haven't fully thought about that.
Are you referring to the http://ipcctv8.oicp.net:9090/doc/page/login.asp?anonymous=true ?

i noticed that it indeed was a different camera as what i ask information about.
Also i said /asked nice can you just give me a video made with this camera, zoom in / zoom out, and the auto tracking that is working.
Then i got after a few messages this answer, and it literally shocked me, a Chinese seller that told me not to buy the camera ? haha

First i have seen in my life.

Perhaps he thinks the cam doesn't support auto tracking...no idea what 'simple tracking' is...manual panning? ;)

Yeah, that's the one I'm referring to. From a little searching around, apparently this same demo cam is being linked to as the demo for several different model number cams; each with different specs. It's frustrating when sellers are so lazy and dishonest.

Re: Huisun PTZ Deck Cam Pics and Vids

I just finished setting up BlueIris PTZ settings (what a chore!) and created a few presets as the sun went down. Still have yet to attach Hui directly to wlan/lan, so attached to a Win10 machine running BlueIris and iVMS. This was a vid from several of my presets, and it's pitch black outside, so I'm not surprised the focus is somewhat flakey, but pleased with the limited amount of breakup/pixellation in the pic/vid.

Nice but lots of noise in that night video

Yes, I'm frustrated with the Denoise settings (in that I don't seem to get consistent performance no matter what 2D/3D settings I use) so I simply turned it off, and it seems better to me that way. Again, I was trying to duplicate what I actually see, not to over-enhance or saturate anything.

Unfortunately, the noise is due to the shutter speed being limited to only 1/25...That's just too fast to get a color image at night with no noise, given the cams sensor size and aperture range. Digital noise reduction isn't going to do much for a case like that. It's otherwise such a great cam! I don't understand why they would cap the shutter so fast with no way of manually overriding it; especially considering your budget Hikvison and Dahua cams for only a fraction of the price offer it.
