Boy did I get all those search terms ?
Right now I'm just screwing around with performance for a half dozen cameras (1080 to 4k). I think I've finally figured out how to get them to mount (map root/map wheel), then manually set the quota for all four (in my case, 200gb). Name each share 'cam1 thru x', and add an overarching dataset that is mounted via Windows for read only.
That said... damn this is a lot of work in the GUI.
Does anyone have scripts or could point me to scripts to do this a bit more automated? And yes, I'm being lazy, otherwise I suppose I could do something like this. Although messing around with pools would be a bit irritating.
Creating 40 dataset volumes, then, sharing them and making sure all the right permissions are set, such difficulty....
-one reference thread.
Hikvision and FreeNAS - works
