My company is implementing a VMS system for our Cannabis grow in Ohio and I'd like help choosing the cameras. I'm going to try Blue Iris on an i7-8700k server I just built. Specs are 64GB RAM, 10G and 1G ethernet, LSI MegaRaid 9361-24i with 18 x 10TB Purples in two RAID 6 Arrays. 57TB usable on each. One for writing and one for daily backup. I'd like to go ahead and write directly to disk using H.265. Initially we'll have 12 outdoor cams and 23 indoor cams with an additional 15 indoor cams added along the way. I think that makes 50 total. Can Blue Iris handle this kind of load on my hardware? I have done some drive testing an am achieving greater that 1.5GB per second sustain writes to the array. From what I've read it seems like the 2MP Dahua Starlights are the way to go for the exterior cams. Is there a good cheap alternative for interior cams? Need to be able to capture decent detail out to 15 feet and general motion out to 35 ft with the interior cams. In addition, I'm a big nerd and come from a networking background. We're running a 48 port Linksys POE+ switch for cameras and a Netgear 10G switch for our internal workstations. Thanks in advance for any help
