I got 10 of my 14 cameras installed (still waiting on 4 in the mail). However, only 7 cameras are recognized and showing on the NVR. The other 3 don't even show up as online. And then one of them shows a green screen over the image. All the connected lan cables are flashing yellow and green so there is data. Any ideas how to get the three that don't show up to connect and then how to get the green screen one to work? If it helps, the three that don't show are the 4mp cameras, and the one with the green screen is the 4th 4mp camera.
- I tested all the cables and cameras on the NVR prior to install and they all were recognized and showed a feed (one at a time).

1. I would question if your cables are terminated correctly. Just because you see "activity" doesn't mean that you have terminated ALL 4 pairs at both end points. In POE orange is standard data, blue is POE, green is unused, and brown is POE Ground. A problem as little as one of your single color wires not being fully seeded into the connector and fully terminated could be part of your issue. I would pull a "non working" camera from its location and connect it to a verified working location.
2. Have you enabled remote access in the NVR so that you can access the cameras directly? Once you do go to the following address in your web browser
http://NVR.Address:65001 change the last digit "1" to the camera port you want to access. For example if the NVR is located at 192.168.0.13 and you want to access camera 8 it would be
http://192.168.0.13:65008
3. Accessing the configuration of my 4mp HIK cameras in my webbrowers works, however the video in the setup/configuration pages flashes rapidly or flashes between green and the live image, the live view displays fine however in the NVR and live view web browser.
4. Assure your
cat5e cables are solid copper and not strand - if they are strand you could have poor termination or grounding.
5. Assure your cable isn't over 300' - POE is typically rated for 300' (yes people pull it upto 500' sometimes) however POE standard are 300' or you need a POE midspan.
6. What about IP conflicts? You didn't set any of your cameras to static IP did you where you would be having an IP conflict because of duplicate IP's?
