hi can I get help with setting this camera up

I've read the Cliff notes and have the IP CAM connected to the switch and switch to the PC

I can't find the camera on the Config tool.

Have changed my IP address to 192.168.1.1

At a loss - any guidance please! This is so frustrating

II've finished setting up the cams but I can't get any live stream -

I tested with a second camera and exactly the same result.

Help please!!?

The manufacture, model number of the camera.
Never set your pc to 192.168.1.1 that is normally used by a router.

Hi Alan,

Dahua OEM camera?

Remember to check your IP network mask... if using 192.168.x.x you can use a mask of 255.255.0.0

Turns out I have to change the IP in system preferences - I was doing it on the router. Stoopid!

I just saw this - floundering around with the setup.

My router has a different IP to that - so it's odd but I think I'm getting there (Fingers crossed)
