I have a DS-2CD2032F-I camera and no Nvr.

How do i set up HiDDNS for this camera?

I thought it would just be a case of registering at this site http://www.hiddns.com/ but when i try to add a device i enter the cameras serial number but what do i enter for the Domain Name?

If i make a domain name up i get the "device does not exist" message! Where am i going wrong please?

Hmmm sniffing around on other forums i think i may of found my answer. My camera is from Aliexpress and is multi-language so a chineses camera?

This is what i have found:

Chinese versions do not work with hik ddns.

Solution: When registering on hik-online, specify China as country. Worked like a charm!

Not had a chance to try it yet but any opinions?

Well that's not true, HiDDNS works set to what ever country you want it to be,
The trick to setting it up is, you have to setup both the Camera and the HiDDNS, at the same time or it won't find the camera
You don't need to add the whole serial number just the numbers after the CCCH.

There should be no trick.

I get the "device does not exist" message every time no matter what i do. It is something i can live with as a don't think my external ip changes much(if ever) unless i re-boot the router.

It's a pain in the arse on setup, your ports need to be forwarded too.
But having both Camera page and HIDDNS windows open at the same time is the only way it will work.

You can use your own ddns service...
