I'm not sure about the 24V mentioned in the description. That has no place in a normal 802.3af active splitter.
But you did confirm it worked ok with an external 12V power supply?

It's not really clear - but I suspect this is for the non-standard 24V PoE method.

Please, do you know if there is away I can disable the infra red light on the camera? It comes on at night. I will like to hide the light from the public if that won't stop the camera from working. Thanks
