Hi all,

Hikvision has a new video doorbell on their website.

DS-KD8003-IME1 Video Intercom Module Door Station-Hikvision

It has about the same specifications as the wifi doorbell. Unfortunately I can't find any information about the mounting boxes, flush or surface. There is a description in the manual and some video's on Youtube about the flush mounting options.

pro: Power over ethernet
cons: - probably no option to turn off IR
- no support for the hik-connect app

Hello Bccrew,

There are options for surface and flush mounting with one, two and three slots for the add-ones. I also noticed that cannot be activated through a web browser (needs iVMS-4200).
Finally I have a question, how do you know that the hik connect app is not supported? What I would like is to use IVMS-4500 for IOS together with the other Hikvision cameras that own but suspect that cannot be possible.
Thanks,

Thanks,
I am using standard HIK-Connect on my iPhone - it works, topic starter is wrong (I could give screenshots) !
Also I could receive door call thru HIK-Connect.

Can you turn off the IR?
Didn't tried yet. I see the following:
1. DS-KD8003-IME1 - really good configured from iVMS-4200, but I didn't find IR setting (picture below)
2. DS-KH8350-TE1 - has a lot of errors and practically not configured from iVMS-4200, but you can configure it directly from panel

Manual, how to connect DS-KD8003-IME1 + DS-KH8350-TE1 with HIK-Connect on iPhone:

1. Yes there 2 IRs and you cannot turn them off from iVMS-4200.

2. You shall add indoor panel DS-KH8350-TE1 to HIK-Connect, not a camera DS-KD8003-IME1. The idea behind - this camera is used in large building with many indoor panels and only one outdoor camera, all your personal recordings are stored on your panel, camera has no TF-card inself unlike many other outdoor cameras.

As you can see in my video - I was able to connect standard outdoor camera DS-2CD2185FWD-I (4K resolution). You can access this camera from the panel much more quicker than from HIK-Connect !

Hi,
I try to setup card reader module (DS-DK-M) to work with main module (DS-KD8003-IME1).
I use "Video Intercom Module Door Station" manual paper. I've connected main module and card reader according to manual's section "4.3" via connecting interface(rs482), submodule address is "2".
It seems that sub-module is powered properly, if i swipe an unauthorized card is respond with beep (IFAIU this means non authorized).
I try to follow section "5.8", But I can't find cardreader module in ivms app. When I open AccessControll->Organization->Person->AddCard->CardReaderMode->AccessControlReader popup menu,
this menu is empty. It seems that something is wrong in my setup or actions. Please elaborate what should I do to fix my issue.
My main purpose is to understand how to issue/revoke cards

I have also question for
1. Camera DS-KD8003-IME1
2. Panel DS-KH8350-TE1
They do not have web-interface, iVMS-4200 works only with 8003.
May be someone know how to activate SSH-access to the panel (or about API) to make some customisation (for instance to open rollers from the panel) ?

Thanks for you detailed post, a lot of useful information! This partial answer my question however I wanted to know if can be used in parallel with IVMS-4500 like a classic ip camera (I guess not, but you can try if you want) Here is the link for the app that I’m referring:

‎iVMS-4500 lite

About the HIK-Connect capability, in fact is the indoor panel that is doing that and as you refer the purpose is to use one shared camera for many indoor panels.

Afaik the model DS-KB8112-IM is the only one with native Hik connect, and web interface.

Probably not. In HIK-intercom you can add panel, not camera.
Camera is not like any other, all security functions are not available.
But I could try on weekend.

P.S. EE is for Estonia ? Call if you need good price in Tallinn for 8003 - friend of mine has a shop there.

Thanks Deamliner for your prompt answer.
I’m not in Estonia :-( but thanks anyway for the tip! The link that I sent was the first one that appear on google to point you to the right app in the Apple Store).
I’m in south of Europe (Portugal) and btw neither this camera or the awesome indoor panel that you bought are available yet in any store so I guess those should be the Asian models.

EU Models also available: HIKVISION DS-KD8003-IME1/EUand most probably they deliver to Portugal too.

I can confirm that DS-KD8003-IME1 alone is not working with Hik-Connect app. A am still waiting for DS-KH8350-WTE1 to be delivered.

Also it bothers me that DS-KD8003-IME1 has a tamper switch on the back, but can not be programmed as an output (for the alarm system eg).
What does this tamper switch do as stand alone? I am guessing it does something only if connected together with DS-KH8350-(W)TE1.

Yes, DS-KH8350-WTE1 you will able to connect to Hik-Connect app, just scan QR-code from its screen.

Do you have an option to test what tamper switch on DS-KD8003-IME1 does? Does it sond an alarm on central unit, or just sound a horn localy?

Yes I know that, but what happens when tamper alarm is triggered?
I do not have an option to connect that alarm to anything since there is no alarm out on the 8003 terminals.

I think, your panel and app should inform you somehow about alarm triggered.
