Honeywell HEN08102 - password reset

Hi All,

I have a Honeywell HEN08102 - NVR. Recently a blackout happened and suddenly our password doesn't work anymore. I tried the default password as well, it's not getting me into the system as well.

Is there a way to reset the machine so I can set it up again from scratch? I did find this thread Honeywell Performance series Nvr reset. , but that involves taking the whole machine apart which I am not comfortable with.

Is there an easier way to reset? Like a hole somewhere I can restore back to default settings or press and hold power button or something?

I did try to contact Honeywell, but their solutions isn't working and it's hard to get a reply. I also downloaded a copy of the instructions manual, but no where dose it talk about a hard reset.

Have you looked for a reset button accessible from the outside?
Older Honeywell DVR's had a reset button next to the alarm connectors.

I did look, but i didn't see any "reset" button or hole i can reset.

I am super confused though, how can a security device just reset after a short blackout?

I have exactly the same problem with a Honeywell HEN04103. I can't connect to it either on VGA or on HDMI. Honeywell does not respond to my requests.
did you find a solution to your problem?
