@fenderman - thanks. I've read that on some other posts on the site. I imagine that is not every computer out there being sold. Maybe there is a rule of thumb to know for future use? The business desktops seems to typically have them...fair assumption?
@TL1096r - Yes, I've used the media tool before. I've also been looking at that BI Update Helper chart and sorting it different ways to see what I might need. Do you know if the CPU usage is peak or average or point in time? Also, I don't think you can tell if they are recording continuous or just when triggered which can make a difference as well. Seems like people running the i5-6500 with around 400-550 MP/s (which is where I think I'll be) have quite a bit of headroom still, which is why I'm thinking I should be fine with that computer. I don't like to be surprised though and so I tend to buy a little more than I think I need for the future. But it starts getting expensive if the desktop is $400 plus $100 for a 4 TB WD purple HDD, plus another $60 or so for a 256 GB SSD. Decisions, decisions....
