How to force ui to start when windows boots?

I've been trying to add an blue iris admin shortcut in the startup folder as I see in some windows 10 tutorial on Google but it still doesn't want to load.

adding a shortcut to the startup folder is executed when -that- user logs on interactively...

running BI as a service would start BI after system boots/reboots.

How to get Blue Iris to automatically start when restarting PC w/Windows 8.1

How can I get Blue Iris to automatically start when restarting PC w/Windows 8.1. I used to use it with XP and could get it to auto start after the PC restated. Haven't been able to figure it out as both Windows 8.1 and BI4 is new to me.

I was able to get this to work by writing a simple script and adding that batch file to the startup folder. It opens BI to full screen on windows bootup.
Everything else I tried would only open the service and not the UI.
