All my cams are running with 16 and I’ve personally not had a problem with it.

This model ends of production now, the replacement model is IPC-T3241T-ZAS (Support audio), IPC-T2231T-ZS(No audio), but when this model has new firmware i still will update it here.

Pulling my weight
I've only installed it on one, so far, and it has not given me any problems, either. But now I'm reluctant to install it anywhere else.
The rest of my cameras are running V2.800.0000005.0.R, Build Date: 2019-03-25. Other than occasionally rebooting since I added tripwire/intrusion to them, they're working, so I'm inclined to leave 'em be. The one I did upgrade was rebooting frequently. It is no longer.

If I'm isolated, I don't need this? What is interesting, that Dahua site does not offer any firmware, why is that?
@tibimakai - that is correct, if your camera is isolated, then you do not need it. As far as firmware, Andy gets us firmware long before Dahua makes it available, it at all.
Now what is interesting, is they posted these around the same time, yet didn't provide all the updated firmware...

Which is why we are fortunate if you purchase from Andy in that you get updates that many folks have contributed input to in order to make the cameras better. Why Dahua doesn't roll it out on their website is their choice, but they are making updates. They probably don't post it often as they sell to installers and after the initial sale and install, the installer doesn't care whether a client has the most recent firmware unless they have a service contract for said cameras. You also have to remember we are not Dahua's target audience.
