Hiya,

I recently bought 7 IPC-HFW1431S cameras through AliExpress, and it seems all of them are already initialized. So naturally I've tried admin/admin but that was not successful. When I select 'forgot password' it gives a message that no contact information was entered so I have to contact the supplier/manufacturer. I've done that, but I'm also posting to see if anyone else has experienced anything like this or if there is a way to factory reset the cameras.

I noticed through the config tool theres two options to reset password with QR code or XML, although I dont think I have either of those considering. Any ideas on how to reset these?

EDIT: I suppose I should have included the firmware version: 2.622.0000000.23.R If that helps

Thanks in advance

Do a hard reset on the camera. Not familiar with this model. Something there is a button inside, other times there is are two solder dots need to be shorted togeather.

Try passwords

In there future there are much better options than this camera for a few dollars more. This 1/3 mp sensor will perform poorly in low light and the ir array around the lens will attract spiders like crazy.

Are there non-spider attracting IR cameras? I'm intrigued for the next project ^.^

There are cameras like turrets and even the newer bullet designs that have the ir leds separate from the lens, this makes a significant difference.

As Fenderman said, it makes a difference. Doesn't eliminate the spiders. Since the weather turned warm I've had webs and spiders in front of 2 or 3 cameras every night, and they all have their internal IR turned off. I use external illuminators and it would be a whole lot worse with the internal IR running. Maybe a flamethrower that briefly hits the camera periodically?
