IPC-HFW5231E-Z12 LPR from 137 feet

I think the axton stuff looks good but I believe b&h is wrong here, doesn't look to use normal A or B pairs for power...

I see now it says rated at 130ft, again knock some off for true effective range
That was the beam I chose for my application if I was to need it. They have several to choose from. See the post above with datasheet. There is a 10 degree angle that is shown as over 350 feet.

Looks like you're running different firmware? I've got Exposure comp in mine. Any thoughts for that?

My Z12's are old no Exp Comp. I have it on newer 5442's it can be helpful, getting it and gain/iris/exposure and the right amount of IR all working together can take some time experimenting

The one I showed is a 5231. Same camera, yours is the more current version and generally better

I have two 5241E-Z12E cams purchased a month apart. One is on firmware 6.R dated 8/1/2019 and does not have the Exposure comp and the other is running 10.R dated 11/18/2019 and does have it.

6.R Firmware:

10.R firmware:

I intend to upgrade to the newer firmware that has the manual IR setting. Just have not had a chance to do it yet.

Thanks a lot, what range is this?

On a somewhat unrelated note, anyone experience a large delay in the cameras accepting picture setting changes? On all my other cameras (not 5241) changing the sliders result in almost instant updates, on the 5241 it feels like I need to constant refresh or reload to see updates, sometimes they don't appear to take effect..

One is 70-130 feet and the other is 40-150 feet.

Sometimes my varifocal sliders do not react quickly and sometimes not at all. That seems to be with any of my varifocals.

90ft-120ft, the IPC-HFW5241E-Z12E is the most powerful camera we have now for fixed camera, Though it's 2mp, but it's working very nice.

Except for the known focus issues that that been known for years and Dahua refuses to fix. Or enable other features in firmware like disabling auto focus.

Supposedly the newest firmware allows for manual focus which should fix that problem... FYI
