Hello,

I have a Dahua NVR 16 channel running 6 cameras. I recently added a new camera (IPC-T54IR-AS-2.8mm-S3) and for some reason it won't show up in the DMSS app.

It will show up as a channel in DMSS but only the refresh image is shown. I've tried deleting/reloading the NVR on DMSS and still nothing. I can view it fine in the NVR software.

Anyone else have this issue? Are there some kind of remote permissions I need to set on the camera?

Thanks

Post a shot of your NVR camera registration screen and point out which camera this is..

How did you add the NVR to the app? By IP, serial number, or QR code?

Thanks for the quick response. See attached for registration screen, it is port 5 that is giving me issues.

I added the NVR using the QR code. I have a few different NVRs in different locations and have never had an issue like this before. I even have the same camera at a different location and it works on DMSS.

Sorry stepped away.

Weird, I don't like using the QR code, have good luck using the manual Add by Serial number, try that.

And reboot the NVR first and check before going further

Still not able to get things working. I have tried deleting/re-adding the profile in DMSS (by serial number), rebooted the NVR.

It works fine in SmartPSS and the web browser (accessing from computer local to NVR), just not DMSS (local or remote). Any other Android apps anyone could recommend?

You added the NVR right? not individual cameras on the NVR internal PoE ports.

When you say" It will show up as a channel in DMSS but only the refresh image is shown."
Can you show a snapshot of what you see on the phone?

If the other cameras are appearing, highly doubt the app is the issue

If the same camera works on the NVR/DMSS at a different location, the problem sounds to be with a setting or problem with the NVR

That kinda proves it’s not DMSS that’s the problem. A new app won’t fix anything

Try switching the cable to a different port in the NVR and doing a factory default while connected to the NVR

This is the image that appears for the camera that is not working. If I click play, it will go to about 20% and then go back to this image.

Added the NVR to DMSS, and when this camera was installed it automatically appeared. I am pretty sure it was working when the camera was first installed a few months ago. I haven't checked it lately and recently changed phones. I'll try reinstalling DMSS.

It shouldn't be an issue, but are the others cameras H264 and this one H265 or maybe a mix-match of H264 for main H265 for sub?

I can see the recording is there on live view but unable to view it. I can even see the time when I restarted the NVR so there was no recording.

Event notifications (specifically trip wires) also stopped working when I switched phones.

Cameras and NVR:
1 - EBW8630
2 - IPC-HDW5231R-Z
4 - IPC-HFW1320S
1 - NVR-5216-16P-4KS2

Hi Andy, I don't think I ever upgraded this one. It is V3.215.0000.3, 2017-12-11. Which version should I upgrade to?
