Generally the answer is no, there's no easy way to change the lens. It might be possible, most use an M12 lens (http://www.m12lenses.com/). But you will have to pull the camera apart to do it, and you will have to focus the new lens. It's generally best to get a vari-focal camera if you want to change the field of view.

Wide angle is a smaller number, like 2.8mm. 100mm would be super zoomed in. Or do you mean 100 degrees?

Sorry, yes I meant 100 degrees. The one I have is supposed to be 73 degrees I think, but I would like a wider view

OK, I'll read that, thanks. By the way do you think it's ok to cover the cable connections with PVC tape? I mean the cables from the camera ( POE and data)...basically to keep them clean in the attic

Hi, recently bought this webcam https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B073X4LJJ7/ref=oh_aui_detailpage_o01_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
Would you know if I could add a wider angle lens to it? Say, around 100mm? Or is there some kind of universal lens that could be used? Thanks
Hi BetterVision,

Not certain about that particular camera, it is possible to change lens if you want to, here's an example of one of our friends here installing a lens with a better zoom into a camera which came in a kit and had a very wide FOV lens:

FYI - Some local Costco B&M have a Lorex / Dahua OEM 4K 6x camera kit and 8 port NVR for $800
