I will never understand baby killers.
One thing I don't get it is why your citizens are not armed? With Enemies surrounding ya'll. Is it because of the West Bank and Gaza, how do you control Ishmael's tribe living among ya'll who want to kill Isaac's tribe, if you know what I mean...

Here in the states, the world thinks we are crazy for all the guns we have here. The bad guys has a large supply, yes, the citizens have as much or more. But, real reason citizens are armed is we are not easily invaded, unless the Democrats have our borders wide open and they invade us within with their communism push/narrative. No we are armed to keep our Gov't in check.
If a 16 years old gets pregnant by mistake, I think it's an option that makes sense, but I see your point.
Recently (I think since October 7), this have changed, it's simpler to get a gun permit or to buy a gun, but you can only buy a pistol (except for special cases you can get m16).
It does make sense not to hand out guns to people who were not trained to use it or don't live near the border.
Or are not stable mentally.
