Just Ordered A Longse LBW90S500

Looks very good.
Good depth of focus, good even focus.
Pretty short exposure judging by the raindrop trails.

Exposure is set to "Auto"...

@Q2U: Is the footage from Day and Night from the same cam? If so, is this the one you said you were disapointed? that seems pretty impressive to me ! (i'm a ipcam newbie, only have a Ubiquiti UVC-mini and not happy with quality). Is this the one that was very huge in size compared to the other cams ??

Do you have a link where I can buy that ? Might need 3-4 cam for the house.

...Is the footage from Day and Night from the same cam?...

Yes, all of the footage I've posted to this topic is the from the same camera.

Yes sir...but Q speaketh too soon...I'm liking this camera more and more now for sure.

Is this the one that was very huge in size compared to the other cams?...

Yes; this is the Longse LBW90S500 "Cyclops" with the IMX178 sensor, and it is a very large camera when compared to the other cameras I posses.

...Do you have a link where I can buy that?...

The link is in the OP and I've posted it below for your convenience...

Might need 3-4 cam for the house.

One of the downsides is that this particular camera (the "S500" model with the Sony IMX178 sensor) only comes with a 3.6mm lens which may be too wide a focal view for some specific surveillance use case.

thank you very much sir.

I don't know yet what are the lens mm difference (I don't know what would be suitable for what).

What would install here, with a small budget :

I don't know if I can go with only 1 on the right of the porch, pointing towards the driveway to catch all from in front of the house up to the left side of my land.

You shouldn't be getting a Longse 3-4 camera system if you are an IP camera newb.

If you are quite technical then get a Dahua or Hikvision system with 2 or 3 cameras and add one Longse to see if you can get it working etc. I wouldn't rely on my Longse as the only security camera covering that area.

Considering it's cost, it is now my opinion that the images provided by the Longse LBW90S500 (Sony IMX178 sensor) are outstanding, especially at night. One of the cons of this camera is it's size: it is a very large bullet. However, this may actually be a positive if you want the bad guys to see the camera so they know they are being surveilled. The other con is that it is not as spider web-proof as my turret form factor cameras, although the large bullet LBW90S500 does attract spiders much -- much -- less than my smaller HIK 2032's, Besafe/Longse BS-BH24S200-POE and Diske 880 mini-bullets do.

Although I was initially disappointed with the Longse LBW90S500 I am now of the opinion that the Longse LBW90S500 is the best camera I own. However, this fact will not prevent me from purchasing additional IP cameras; The Quest continues!

So the 90m ir (295ft) on the LBW90S500 is that a real night ir view?
Debating to get this or the
LRDC60XA200
or
LRDC60S500
Mostly is for my backyard witch is 70ft long. And the 3.6mm should be wide to cover most of it.

Thanks.

No...the "90 meter IR" appears to be complete BULLSHIT. But @fenderman suggested that I re-position that camera which may change my assessment of the LBW90S500 IR.

The A200 is 2.8.. to 12mm vari-focal. If 3.6mm will cover all of your backyard why do you need vari-focal? In addition, the 5MP density is a win over 2MP IMO.

So you think the LBW90S500 will do a radius of 65 ft x 60/70 ft?

90m is the length of a football pitch. Hahaha. Why do they write this crap and why do people remotely believe it? How can a 3.6mm lens see 90m anyway.

65ft x 60/70 ft, one camera? Only if you just want to see what's going on and not identify any unknowns.
