If your wondering why I didn't install it on the peak above the window, it's because that area in the attic was accessible. The room up there was all sheetrocked so I drilled into
a crawl space, stuck a wifi bridge up there, picked up his wifi signal, powered the camera locally, and plugged the camera into the wifi bridge. It works perfect. Anyway, here
are some pics from today's little install.

Here's a night shot. Keep in mind this ptz does not have IR's and there's street light nearby.

Looks good. I may have one friday or Monday!

Do they make a mount that will let it sit a bit lower if I put it on a soffit of a house?

I used the dual band netgear. I'm pretty sure it's wnce3001. Very easy to set up and gave me full signal strength.

This is not a mount specifically designed for this ptz. I had to disassemble the ptz, reroute the wire because it's originally coming out of the corner, than drill new holes to mount to the bracket and do some silicone sealing here and there. Dahua makes this PTZ on a bracket and different housing, but it's big and I wanted something smaller. If you can find a different bracket, just make sure the base is either the same size as the base of the ptz or slightly larger.

Ah correction I should be having it on Friday and its only the 3x zoom but it will work for me. I'll find a good home for it.

Should have looked before I bidded on it, I thought all the mini ptz cameras were 12x

Too bad you can't return it. I have this 12x for slightly more than their selling the 3x for.

Awesome!! BTW: What size of drive do you use in yours? Right now I have a WD RED 1 TB but was going to add a WD Purple 2TB because it is just sitting here doing nothing.

I generally use 3tb's unless I have 16 cameras. Lately I have been recording constant at 5fps and motion at 15fps just cause I don't trust the dahua motion detection.
