Hey guys

Here we go for the latest new firmware (with Dahua logo )for the IPC-HxW5XXX, this suits for most cams we posted here, before updating, please check carefully if your camera support or not.

Firmware with dahua logo, ntsc/pal on the same firmware. Seems new stock are using the latest new firmware now.

Thanks Andy. Had to try it out..
In this version the automatic change between day and night settings can be selected (like in 2.640 180523) and the camera's video stream is shown in the camera's webbrowser. Yeah!
 
After you upgrade to this firmware, you cannot downgrade to a previous firmware...

"The upgrade package version is too low, failed to upgrade! Some functions of the device has been disabled, restart device now?"

I upgraded the firmware, and noticed that i cannot use the WDR function anymore in the night setting. The option is there, but it changes nothing, Version 23-05-2018 had no issue with WDR.

Not liking this at all..
 
My Z12E was rebooting 5 seconds after coming back online in BI after I upgraded to this firmware. I powered it down and back up and that made it last about 40 seconds before restarting so now I'm trying a hard reset.
 
This firmware is messed up... Tried a factory reset, and it does not show up in the NVR to be Initialized, or the config tool..

Well, that will be a climb on the ladder in the morning, to try a hard reset. Not recommending this upgrade!

Mine is still rebooting after the hard reset so now it's Uninitialized and rebooting itself. Trying to be quick about it won't help either since the camera settings page was 404 even while the camera was online for the 5-40 seconds it worked.
 
Anyone else with "Yea" or "Nay" feedback on this firmware version?
 
Ain't no sunrise/sunset in the dark hole I call "The Warehouse" where the lights are turned on and off and on and off many times each day. A problem exacerbated by my Qonfusion as to which previous Dahua firmware allowed the camera to switch between day/night settings as warranted by camera detected light levels. v2.640 180523 perhaps? Dunno and dunno where to DL it. </sad!>

I make this statement based upon topic post #2...

I can confirm, this does switch day/night profiles automatically based on available light. No more scripts and tools!!! You do however, have to specify "Day/Night" in the new Profiles Management settings.

No issue at all here with this new FW, but I've performed a partial reset from the GUI prior the upgrade.
 
Andy also posted new firmware for the 2x3x series cameras, and I updated my 2231s. Day/night is now available under profile on them too now.. however, it doesn't let you force color at night, as under the conditions tab, the day/night is forced to auto and grayed out. I want the day profile with WDR, and the night profile still in color but with WDR off. I can't do this.

20180523 Firmware for DH_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea

Reviewing some of my home cameras, I see I installed "General_IPC-HX5X3X-Rhea_Internal_PN_Stream3_V2.640.0000002.0.R.180523.bin" on several of my cameras seven (7) months ago, and -- as I have noticed any abhorrent behavior on any of these cameras -- I have to conclude that this firmware appears to run fine on the following cameras...

  • IPC-HDW4231EMP-ASE
  • IPC-HDW4231EM-AS
