Latest New NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000003.1.R.200813

A latest new FW has been released, can go to page1 to make download and updating!

Hi,
Can you please point which page 1 you are referring to.
I am relatively new here and I am looking for the best and most stable firmware for 4216-4ks2

regards

I still have all the previous problems (I did not test yet the system crash when accessing tag list from web). Apparently no relevant changes from previous version.

I don't like this version... It seems to be less stable than the previous one. Sometime it crashes (I used DH_NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000003.0.R.200727 for about two months with no crashes), snapshot records don't work perfectly and some other little problems.
Does anyone knows if it is possible to roll back to V4.001.0000003.0.R.200727 and what is the procedure (i.e., should I factory reset after downgrade?) ? Or, on the other hand, is there a newer version after the current one?
Thanks in advance.

Success !
I took the deep dive on the NVR4104-P-4KS2 , with firmware version 3.xx from 2018, which didn't auto-update to DH_NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000003.1.R.200813.
What a difference this makes. Great look and feel.
All information from this discussion very much appreciated.
Thx,
Patrick

If you are using the latest firmware, then just ignore this

Andy I believe there are 2 more recent updates than what's current on my NVR , the new 1 as shown on the auto update picture ,....and the one in thread title as - NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000003.1.R.200813 ?

One of my NVRs in that series got automatically firmware V4.001.0000003.2.R.200929. But just one recorder, a poe version. No other got this. I have hundreds of them in service.

Just to let know I updated my NVR4204-P-4KS2 with the new firmware NVR4XXX-4KS2_MultiLang_V4.001.0000003.1.R.200813 over the top of latest firmware v3 of 2019. So far, so good. Only minor bug in Playback-screen, e.g. wrong Dutch translations when pushing view-buttons (notifications bottom left), not enough space for these notifications so not always readable, and fast/slow forward buttons not visible in Chrome and Firefox web service. New UI is much appreciated though!

The firmware download for NVR's on the offical Dahua-website dissappeared however.

I jumped from one of the V3 series firmwares to the 4.001.0000003.1, and my non Dahua Cams dont record audio any more. My NVR is a N52B2P
The update jump did fix alot of other issues ive had building up over the years. So ill see if others are having a similar issue and just dont realize it.

Upgradeing to V4 changes makes some changes in configurations too - for example recheck your DST settings. Also recheck audio settings in both NVR and in camera, while that might be turned off when upgraded.

I hope a new version will be available soon. This one has a lot of bugs. The last one I experienced is related to snapshots. I have up to 7 cams (all from Dahua) configured for event video and scheduled snapshot (Camera->Encode->Snapshot). Well, the 'interval' param has no effect (some cam always takes 2 sec while some other takes 5 sec), furthermore, after few days, some cam stops to record snapshot until NVR is rebooted...
I know there should be at least two newer fw version where the last one should be V4.001.0000003.3.R.201014 but both of them are only available for China market...

Yeah, unfortunately all my settings are correct. In V3 and V4 you can adjust/enable to NVR's ability to record audio from the camera under the Encode menu. There was a checkbox to enable/disable audio saving as well as audio bitrate selections. In this version 4 update, you need to select "more" button under the main stream options, and a window pops up that allows you to select sampling frequency and compression. For the Dahua branded cams i have there is also a "audio" checkbox, for the Hikvision (onvif) cam, there is no audio checkbox. And yes, i have insured that all audio features are enabled in the cams. The cam internal settings have not been changed at all.

In V3, if i recall, the audio selection checkbox was always available for all cams even if they didn't stream audio at all. Hopefully Dahua can checkout whats goin on and solve this mystery. I do plan to swap over the Hikvision cams to the new Dahua IPC-T5442T-ZE so i can get back my smart search features for those channels. But i would still like to get some life out of these 3x 1yr old $400+ hikvisions.

Really wierd thing is, i also have a wifi doorbell cam, and i was able to setup the NVR to record the network stream of the camera. It is also recording audio, and is also working in this V4 update. Honestly its the last cam on the system i expected to have audio working as i consider it a "non-important" video feed.
