Licence plate car night

Hi, I recently bought a camera that is not an official Hikvision brand, but I read that this camera is made by Hikvision.The image is also beautiful zooming in and out, but at night the license plates of the vehicles are not visible. The marks shine, I tried a few settings a bit it got better. I'm adding my settings here. If anyone can advise me what to change I will be very happy. Thank you

You need to run a faster shutter and not auto shutter, if that camera even allows it - most run 1/2,000 shutter at night. That is if you are trying to catch them in motion. If all you care about is parked cars, then drop brightness down until you get the "wash out" of the plate removed. Will probably need to adjust the contrast to.

How are you trying to see the plates - moving or parked? If parked, they are already washed out now, so an IR will make it worse.

Does that camera allow you to manually set the shutter? If so, you will have a completely black image except for the plate and headlight/tailight when a car drives by.

I would adjust settings as I suggested above before purchasing an IR.

ja mam dobru kameru. Akoze obraz je pekný a ma 3MPX, len v noci ma hned, ze nevidim dobre SPZ. Uz som to mal vcelku fajn nastavene. Volam a Matúš

Skús sa pohrať s nastavením WDR, vidím podľa obrázku, že máš nastavené na 0.
