LPR (License Plate Recognition) new feature of NVR Firmware release V3.3.1

Hi,
Has anyone tried out License Plate Recognition on there Hikvision NVR running V3.3.1?

The firmware is meant to have the following features included as part of LPR feature set:

•NVR provides a complete intergraded solution with the LPR camera


•14 countries supported


•Black and white list management


•Filter, play and export pictures or video


•Export LPR data into Excel format


•SDK for integration is available


Is it possible to confirm if it does have these functions and how it works?

Isn't it just requiring connection of an LPR-capable camera, and allowing better access to the camera's facilities, just as in the other 'Smart events'?

Yep. And it costs a small fortune :-(

I'm not sure. Would a DS-2CD2032 work? or would it have to be a camera in the 4xxx or 6xxx range

The feature I liked/wanted was being able to export the plate numbers / data base to XL

I'm afraid not.
The cameras do the analytics, then tell the NVR about the event.
The NVR then takes whatever action is specified for it, eg recording, email etc.

I thought playback got a boost in 3.3.4 as well, web playback is still 4x max

Do you know which Hikvision camera model would provide LPR information to the NVR?

Hikvision July 2015 newsletter states that 3.3.1 supports 16x fast forward playback. Maybe they reduced it in 3.3.4
