Making a Hik 2432 portable with mini router and battery pack

That's great that you got it working with the Chinese firmware. Did you go through the process of installing the OpenWRT firmware?

Oh no... That is way above my attention span/skill level.
As long as it works to see the bikes in the trailer, that is all I need. Just a simple wireless to tablet, wired to camera connection was all I needed.
The English version is on the way, so if there are issues, the Chinese version can be replaced.
Again, thank you for all of your assistance.
It allowed me to go outside of my comfort zone for a bit. Lol.

Hello.
What is the maximum range available between the laptop and the camera?
Which router would be recommended for the maximum range, please? Thanks

I didn't check it for range but I know it worked fine in my garage which is about 50' (15M) distance. As far as routers go, I have always preferred ASUS routers. The router that I used at home for all of my cameras is a ASUS RT-AC68U with Shibby's Tomato firmware. The router I use for the battery operated portable demo setup at remote locations is a xiaomi router.
