From the pictures that I saw of the looters, they were the usual suspects.
It’s nice they arrested a couple of looters, but the real problem is the legislators and governor who gave them the imprimatur by making theft of less that $1,000 in value the same as a traffic ticket. Why arrest people for stealing when you told them stealing is ok?
The reward(s) from committing the crime and not being caught outweighs the risk of being caught and receiving a light punishment or no penalty at all, as found in mostly liberal-run cities.
And if the thief has made that choice to steal based on the above logic many times in their life up to now they're likely going to keep doing it....until someone gives them a dose of lead to a strategic and fatal spot.
