Hi,

thanks for you work. How can I verify that there is no "unwanted" software in you package?

How to depack and diff with the orignal distribution?

Hikvision Firmware Tools do not work.

best,

gne

It's fine.

Code:
enabler@frostrup-23:/tmp diff orig mcr

Binary files orig/davinci.tar.gz and mcr/davinci.tar.gz differ
Binary files orig/IEfile.tar.gz and mcr/IEfile.tar.gz differ
diff orig/initrun.sh mcr/initrun.sh

The different davinci.tar.gz is a 4 byte change that enables the SSH option.
The different IEfile.tar.gz relates to an altered logo.

Nothing to worry about :)

It's encrypted so the posted tools won't work but malware is easy to check for given multiple people on this forum know how to decrypt it, and there's nothing stopping you from installing the firmware montecrypto generously created and shared and then just examing the files yourself (now that you have a real shell over SSH).

This is a repack of R6 English firmware IPC_R6_EN_STD_5.4.3_160902 with the following changes:
* PSH disabled
* SSH enabled

IPC_R6_EN_STD_5.4.3_160902_mcr.zip — RGhost — файлообменник

Enjoy!
Thanks for your work, i really appreciate it!

With all possible respect, is it possible to assemble the firmware with anover version of busybox (same as you did here for the NVR [MCR] NVR_K51_BL_ML_STD_V3.4.80_160718 DS-78xxNI-I2 firmware +BUSYBOX +BPREAD -PSH )

The referenced firmware is for R6 series cameras - your 2CD2332-I is an R0 series camera.
Also - the hacked firmware would not change an R6 camera to English region.

Unless @whoslooking can tell us any different - the 'MTD hack' Hikvision 5.2.5 & 5.2.8 Full English (INC DAYS OF WEEK) mtd Hack whilst converting an R0 camera to EN region, won't allow these models to be updated beyond version 5.3.0
And it's not something I've tried, but perhaps I should, I have a couple of 2032s in a box that were removed from service, failed IR leds and too many spider webs.

yeah give it a go, if you can work your magic on the NVR's then I'm sure you can also do it on the cams.

I never managed to get a 5.25 / 5.28 to go any higher always failed at the boot, I think it was a bootloader issue.

but then I still think 5.25 to be the most stable.
