Mini PTZ v2: 4x optical zoom version

So it looks like I now have 9 days to open an dispute - has anyone gone down this road?

Don't get me wrong, I really want this camera to work, and again I am very happy with my two 10x V1 cameras, but this is unacceptable. Having them pull the camera from market does not make me feel any better

They rushed this 4x cam... I am not worried about firmware problems they will fix them eventually, but focus issue might be hardware problem (bob has it too) I have 6 days left to open dispute, waiting for Monica's solution which she said she would email to me.

I sent a message to Monica yesterday about it but have not heard back.

So, there is a chance this focus issue is actually firmware bug as well. I noticed that manual focus does not work, the cam is always refocusing when you use zoom function.
 
Well, I wanted to see if I could use the 4x in the garage - but as I noted, picture quality was terrible. This morning I decided to replace my last Foscam that was covering my side gate, and it looks like it will probably work out there ok. It is definitely a step up from my 2 year old $80 Foscam but I still hope they can get it straightened out

I'll have to check that. Mine still seems to be working okay other than the fuzzy red screen when switching from night to day. I thought the IRs were flashing on and off but I was able to confirm that is not the case. Not too interested in changing anything just yet. I'll post a pic of it later if I think about it.
 
One thing I noticed about the 4x IR. You can't have both set at 10 power ... One must offset the other like if Far is set at 8 then near will be set at 2 total of 10 power but must divided by both near and far

Is that expected or I thought it only enable IR depending on what zoom setting is at?

Can anyone make out what Monica saying about the presets?





.engineer said that camera need learn New environment.
Firstly,you need put camera instal outdoor,
Secondly,you need set 85presets,then you call two times 65presets.
if one times fail,pls try 4 times.
Pls try below way.

Wow, magic. It unlocks some hidden "Lens Adjust" feature which corrected lens focus. AMAZING! :)

All is well!

To summarize: SET preset 85, then CALL preset 65 twice. It took about 2 minutes, while it was sitting at 44%.
