I want one camera that can cover my front door and sides. My door is the middle one next to the light. Was thinking of DH-IPC-PFW8800N-A180.
New to ipcams please guide me on the right path
I like Biscuit's proposal. The camera you linked to is nice, however it is a bit pricey. Perhaps 2x HDW4231 with both set to facing each other and the door each about 10' away from each other would be good.
It's easy to get swamped with information here, so I wanted to share some notes with you

And this multi sensor cam is very special. How would you like to watch the stream? It´s a 8mp stream and you need powerful devices to get a smooth stream, traffic is higher, aspect ratio won´t fit on any normal monitors...
As this is outside you would better use ball eye cams, no domes (including mini dome) like IPC-HDW4231EM-AS | Dahua Technology - Dahua Technology its much cheaper and you will have a good picture for around only 220$ together. 2mp is much enough for you distances. No need to use more. Light sensitivity is much more useful.
I wanted one camera so it wouldn't draw too much attention from the neighbors. But I see what you guys are saying about it being a little complex cam for the amount of video feed it puts out.
I was originally going to go with arlo pro 2 cameras. But I was put off by vid quality compered to these cams. I did like that they are wireless since I don't know how to run cable or what switch and pc to get to run the cams.
Right now I have a tiny pc connected wirelessly running a webcam to watch over the car port but the webcam is 10 years old and the image and fps sucks. Posted a pic...
I will look up this cam you guys are recommending. Also will a Intel nuc and milestone software be ok? And what's a good switch?

Highly recommend avoiding wire free products like the Arlo Pro right now, they are not yet ready for the role of security cameras.
Wired is the way to go if you want reliability.
If you're concerned about size, another option is the Dahua mini-dome wedges ( please see the notes from post #3 )
Also for switches - there should be a good deal this coming week on a PoE switch, check out the notes ( again in post #3 ) for a link to a listing of switches and a discussion on them.
