New Dahua PTZ

looks like it has the accuracy of my black face 12x at least from the specs, if it does as well as my other IR dahua's at night it should be perfect.. my mini-pan/tilt remains in color and is awful at night with ambient lighting, everything that moves is blurry, after a power cycle its looking at the ground. 2.7-11mm focal should let me get a good face shot at the end of my driveway, cant really ask for more.

I am trying to run there specs through some online calculators and I am wondering how they are getting that 112.5°-39° FOV, I am getting like 90°-27°

Well, I thought I was getting it sooner, but it now seems like I should have them in about 3 weeks or so. I'll post pics of the actual camera and sample video once I get them. That 30x wiper PTZ is amazing. I had one for awhile.

Vector any update on this camera, I'm interested in purchasing one but was curious what your thoughts were on it first.

I was emailed and they will be shippped to me this Monday or Tuesday. When I receive them, I will post pics of the PTZ itself and images taken from it. If I like them, I will sell these two I that I ordered and purchase a larger bulk so I can get a discounted price and than start installing them for my customers.

OK, I received the PTZ's today. They are pretty nice. I haven't seen a PTZ like this before. The image in my living room was very clear and sharp. I did not realize it, but it does have a built in mic
and an SD card slot. Tonight I'll try out the IR for night vision also. But I won't be mounting these outside for now. I want to order a case of them and install them on jobs, but for now, I will be
selling these two for 400.00. PM me if you would like one of these bad boys!

that looks great, how sensitive is the mic? the one on my micro-pan/tilt just good enough to tell someone is talking within 10ft with volume at max.. but not good enough to hear anything.

I suspect its going to perform as good or better than my other dahua cameras at night, so looks like I found a winner.

The mic is about the same as the 4300C turreet. I would say this is between the mini ptz and the black face ptz. It has a nice feel to it, it's smooth, quiet, and has two IR's a few inches away from the lens on each side so night vision outside should be nice. The 4x plus digital zoom should be enough for average sized areas. And what's nice about this is it doesn't even look like a ptz or a camera.

when its looking at the horizon does it zoom to the horizon, or does the zoom go down at an angle? thats a huge problem with the mini-pan tilt's fake digital zoom..
I wish it could look up a few degrees like the black face, looks like it should be able but its not in the specs.

I have seen youtubes of PTZ cams zooming in on and following movement, is this a special function in the cam itself, or something you program on the NVR?

Not waterproof but if mounting under eaves or under a porch - that temperature range seems to support such an application.

Any sample images?

The two that I had are sold already, but I can say that the one I had up and running had a very nice crisp image.

can you give me the port for dyndns forwording. TCP, UDP, http, etc......

i can`t connect from the inet, only from homenet....

You can look in the cameras settings and just see what port is set. It's a good idea to change the http port to something besides 80. It doesn't matter which DDNS service your using, you can use the ports that you choose. Once you have set the http and tcp ports, go into your router settings and do your port forwarding. For Dahua, you do not need to port forward UDP or RTSP.

i have chosse the port TCP 10620 and http 80
Also i have done the settings in my fritzbox. but only the tcp port. Must i do the same for the http Port? I think the cam won`t like the TCP 10620???

Why not keep the factory default of 37777 for the TCP. And as I said previously, you should change HTTP to anything but 80. I like using 8000 or 8080 for http. And, as I also said previously, you should port forward in your router HTTP and TCP.
