I am an electrical engineer by trade, have experience with NICE vision. Setting up my home system with Amcrest NV4108E-HS and IP2M-851EW cams. Would like to add a Dahua SD59225U. Will all functions work?
Is anyone familiar with this configuration?

Welcome Winskate,

You want to determine if the NVR is a Dahua OEM "lite" NVR or a "pro" NVR. If it is a "lite" version then IVS/IVA may not work from the NVR OSD ( On Screen Display ) and you'd have to directly access the camera. Also, double check that the NVR PoE ports will provide enough power to the camera.
