New RCA HSDB2A 3MP Doorbell IP Camera

Pete you still around?
I tried finding Feit, where they are getting their Cams, are they Hikvision, Dahua, etc. Since they are not on any list I have found, the RTSP URL is the key to communicating with your DM Cam.

.:: Blue Iris::. Donwnload Video Security Software - Cameras Not an Official BI List since there is not one that I am aware of...

I did find the FCC filing of your DB:

We see it is made in China:

More than likely this is a Cam made and designed in China:

Thanks for all the research. Are you saying I'm SOL? Just not sure why one works?
No not saying that at all. Since BI was able to communicate to your DB tells us it is using either ONVIF or RTSProtocol Again the key is to have the correct RTSP URL, that goes for any Cam. or a Cam that supports ONVIF.

What's hard is there are So Many Rebrands in the Camera world. 90%, just a guess, are Chinese Cams...the Rebrand companies here and all over the world, don't advertise where they are getting their Cams or what models they are.

Take our Hikvision DB, look how huge our Thread is.

HIKVISION (DS-HD1), RCA (HSDB2A), EZVIZ (DB1), LAVIEW (LV-PDB1630-U), NELLY'S (NSC-DB2), LTS (LTH-7132-WIFI)

This is our list of the Same Doorbell and all the rebrands, there are actually more than the list above. Some of the above Rebrands had their own firmware. It took us several months, actually a few years, to put all of what we found out about this DB together. You will see that in our Doorbell 101

You may want to start a Thread labeled your DB's Name/Model, hopefully others with your DB have discovered more to share...

I can tell you this, we started by seeing the same looking DB (pictures) Rebranded, I would search for another company selling your same DB, in that search you would/could possibly find more info...Keep in mind this Thread is titled RCA when this Thread started...

I guess I jinxed myself. Now it only seems to work occasionally. The notification that there was motion detected works 100% all of the time. I'll keep fiddling with it.

Im also with this problem. Did you ever find any sollution? I have all setting enabled. Even draw before others is enabled. Still I only get a notification in Android 10 and it Never rings. It did ring on android 9...

Just to chime in. Both the wife and I have S20+ phones, I would say it improved for us from our S7 phones. Not by much, but we get rings around 80% of the time now, where it was, at times, 60-70% of the time before. We got our new phones, end of last year...Still believe this is still a cloud issue since it is random though. Problem too is few people no a days press the button. No Delivery people do anymore...

Here have the same issue with doorbell ringers as mentioned by @David L

Amazon doesn't ring the doorbell any more and leaves the package right out of the new external PIR area.

UPS, USPS and FedEx do ring the doorbell. UPS wants a signature these days for most deliveries.

I had issues with the Hikvision doorbell ONVIF PIR hardware device so have disabled all apps relating to it and switched over to a WiFi ==> Tasmota ==> MQTT outdoor PIR which is working 100% of the time.

I do not utilize any iOs or Android app these days and VPN to my home network to watch the recorded video events. I also used to have bouncing / reset issue that is now gone away. The DB would bounce to provisioning mode but not change the password and I would use Batch Configure on the new provisioning network and reconfigure it to my AP.

It's the EZVIZ app 5.0.16.0709 and few versions before that combined with a Fairphone 3 (we have two of them) running Android 10. With Android 9 it all works perfect. With android 10 it will only give the skype call when the app is open. When the app is not open it will give a notification that someone range the door. When clicking this notification the skype sound will start. Again all settings are on allow, battery optimization is turned of, location, mic, etc etc, is all allowed, even show in front of other app and change system settings is allowed. The notification happens 100% of the time. Thats not the problem. But since the sound is the same short sound as the rest you have no idea someone is at the door when im at work. A text sounds the same. It surprises that soo little people post about this problem with Android 10. Only the one I quoted did and made a partial fix by enabling location etc. This enabling didnt work for me at all. Only the notification will happen.

Hello all, I have an LTN8708-p8 NVR. Will this doorbell work?

It may but I do not see ONVIF support so unless I missed it would not be my 1st choice. It can still record but would not detect onvif cam triggers. Check for firmware update, it WAS not working with Win10 64bit when it first came out. I would hold off and see if some one has one to give you feed back before getting it. Just my 2cents. ONVIF is a big deal for me when it comes to cams but not always needed. Depends on the cams and if you need more then just recording.

Thanks, can you please explain the benefit of ONVIF? I have 3 dome cameras for recording only and just wanted a doorbell that can detect motion and I can also record and answer the ring.

If you ONLY wish to record on the cam picking up motion, some cams use onvif "a large number of cams today" to signal that motion was detected. This would tell a DVR to start recording. Again, if your just recording 24/7 you would not need this. ONVIF is just how a lot of cams signal that they picked up motion. BlueIris "PC Software" can use the PC to look for motion so ONVIF is not needed, but BI can look for a ONVIF signal from the cam to detect motion as well. ONVIF is nice for cams that have motion sensors. Some cams use IR "heat" so trash blowing by would NOT set it off but BI looking for motion would pick it up as motion. Again, its more of a person pref. but ONVIF does open up alot of doors for future addons you may wish to add. If you look around just about every thng now days uses it. Its not needed but its kind of a future proof thing IF YOU like to play with this stuff. Most of the newer DoorBell cams use ONVIF and most swap out firmware on them to get the onvif working with BI or a DVR. Does not mean you have too though. Some just need to record 24/7 so it makes no diff if that is all your looking for. Just like that DVR/POE switch you listed, you may not give a crap about it working with a computer, onvif and BlueIris so it could be great for you.

My current NVR has motion detection, It sends notifications its built in software as well as the hik-connect app. Is that the same thing?

Yep, The door bell most talk about here has IR and video motion. For that to work you need ONVIF. But again, if your just recording 24/7 you do not need this. The IR only goes off on heat, clouds and crap do not set off the IR but would set off the video motion. But with out onvif your DVR software video motion "if that is what it has" would still pick up motion. BlueIris does video motion but it can also use the onvif for the IR if you wish. Again, nice to have but not a must for every one who just needs a doorbell with video recording 24/7. A lot of people like to do more and play around but some just need a doorbell with video recorded 24/7. Its up to YOU on this one more or less.
