No Video Recording and using old BI3 Backup file!

Hi and i am new here.
I have had BI3 for years and migrated to BI4 hoping problems would be resolved.
In BI3 if computer restarted, BI3 would not record video even when triggered, so had to reinstall the BI backup which changed the registry details and then all was good.
But then, about 7pm BI crashed. Nothing obvious like schedules etc.
So had to manually restart BI and load backup and then all OK.
Bought BI4 and loaded.
Same problems.
No recording even on Trigger(but it did send me email and recorded JPEG in front window alerts file).
No video.
So I have to keep reverting back to the old BI3 backup file and then it works!!
What can I do.

Good to see your 1st post here. While I do not have an answer for you on your issues I wanted to welcome you here.

Check your traffic signal settings in Blue Iris Options > Startup. At the bottom there is a checkbox labeled "Begin with a red traffic signal (recording and alerts paused)" which you might have checked.

Thanks for that.
Yep I have now unchecked "Begin with a red traffic signal (recording and alerts paused)" and lets see if this works.

And again, just went to check BI4, and it had shut down again!!!

It must be difficult answering all our questions so thanks.

Lets hope this helps apart from, why does it keep closing!
