Done that, didn't work. As I say, it works with DSS express v8.If you're able to navigate to the cam directly/ then system services. It may be worthwhile taking back to default settings and see if this helps. Fingers crossed.
I have tried it on various PCs and bridged virtual PCs, windows 10, windows 7 and even windows XP, with the tiniest bit rates at the lowest fps. I have tried to stream minimal bandwidth substreams. There is only 1 camera and my Wi-Fi is strong. I don't think it is the connectivity. The "NVR" view simply duplicates individual cams from that NVR. No reason to do both?
As tot he error messages such as "Failed to open video" can be a poor wifi connection, underpowered PC, OR if you simply double click on that camera in the list on the left it will stream, sometimes it just means SmartPSS missed it
I have double- clicked till I’m blue. I don’t have a Poe NVR the camera and the NVR have their individual IP address. I also have a choice of a main stream or 2 sub streams from the NVR. So it is not necessarily the same stream as the camera’s.You have to double click by the way on the items in the device tree to get them to appear...
No need the server can work out. My suggestion is to make a factory default to the NVR and re-set up again.OK, it looks like I can get the NVR image through DSS Express, but it was quite a palaver to set up.
But some progress.
Ideally, I just need the client, not the server mode. (I assume that is for cloud service for big clients). But the client download only becomes available after the server is installed.
Perhaps I can delete the server installation later, but for now, I have to see how things are working.
