OpenALPR Tool - Save and Query CSV Exports

Okay, Figured it out why it was not saving the CSV. It turns out It is absolute necessary to have the backslash at the end as well.. The moment I added that It started saving the file to the following location..

All should be good from here on.. Thank you !!

HI Everyone ! So I really love the program which @Gymratz & @DLONG2 has given us. I really am thankful to both specially for making it work so well. I wanted to kind of give something back to community so currently working with another programmer I hired to add print functionality for running reports on individual plates so it can give us the history.

I will be sharing the code here soon so you guys can use and maybe even make it even better in future or add more to it.. Let me share it with @DLONG2 and @Gymratz for testing and once we make sure it works will be sharing it here..

This is what it looks like.

So basically choose your date range and search the plate you are after. Select a custom logo of your choice, put the name who is printing. and hit print.. :D

You will then get a report which will look like this..

In the pic the logo is lttle out of place but it be fixed soon :D it is basically side by side.

Fair warning: This is my first go at with coding. If I need to edit something, somewhere, somehow, please point me to which program I should be using, and how to go about. :thumb:

What do the values of imported/skipped in the downloader show? Plates? At least 100 plates have gone into ALPR since I've finished this. Is something wrong?

Might that explain why I have no data in the viewer?

Lastly, I'm assuming the downloader has to be running at all times for this all to work? If I put it in my startup folder, is there a way to start auto downloads?

I just went through all the steps again (Thanks @tech101), deleting last night's LPR database and starting new... Still having issues.

I have changed the code to show "int".

See screenshots.

If anyone would like to assist and fix through Teamviewer, I wouldn't mind throwing a few bucks for the learning process!

Ok, two things.
1. I screwed up something right before pushing the code!
if (Constants.pushToken != "" && Constants.pushUser != "")
{
Alert_Push("Watched Plate", "You may be interested in this plate that just went by the house...", "Blah");
}

(Add the part in red, comma "Blah") to get rid of the compiler error.

Because of the != "" -- if you leave the config section blank, it won't try to push, so you don't need an account. The compiler error is just a mistake I made. I'll fix and push to git for the next people...

Was this fixed in the latest downloads from Git? Or do I need to do this now? If the latter, where should I be looking?

I'm asking because I'm still having issues with this. I've repeated the install/build process two times on one machine, and a fresh install on a different machine. I'm getting errors when opening the viewer, and grey boxes, no tables.

Hi, While the software downloader works fine, I have noticed every couple of days it crashes and closes and I have to restart the software again. I have now pulled the event viewer up and reviewing the logs..

Any idea on why this could be happening the log has the following entry.

Also Application error code are as following

Just checking in - seems like some issues and then the chatter stopped - is everything now working ok if you follow the guide that @tech101 put together.

I have been on the fence for awhile jumping into all this and am getting close to follow the great guide put together here or plate recognizer, but this one is cheaper lol and appears folks here have figured out a way to run local and save a file that can be used in excel for search queries.

My application for me has been working fine. If you do end up trying those set of instructions let me know if everything works out or not would be interested to see if something has changed since I have put it together.. or not .. Or if it does work. Anyhow for me its been working great I cannot think of a complete system without this. Thanks to Devs of this app for this gift to the ipcamtalk community. It is really useful/functional :D

Quick question as I am not very knowledgeable with this language, but does anyone know how to auto sort by local time? I would like this to be descending. I've made minor changes to what I have so far, but can't seem to figure that one out. TIA.

Hi nhs.

Once the data resides in the DataGridView container then you can click on the column header at the top to sort ascending or descending. Otherwise the query would need to be altered in the code.

As others have stated, stuck on the downloader not populating. Followed your guide, plus added all tweaks from the gurus on this thread without luck.
Server, SQL Connection info, ALPR creds, Path settings all good.
Loaded question - any other undocumented settings to check?

Is it downloading the CSV file on the drive ? Or no Also if it is downloading the csv file have you try to manually upload the file ?

No, program is not downloading the CVS file. And no luck manually uploading the retrieved CVS file.

When you are Logged in thru the downloader do you see your account logged in and your data showing in the screen below ?

Also Please verify the Sql Managment can connect to data and your tables are showing correctly and name of the database and server is correct Like in my case it is..

1594500896800.png
And then in my Downloader Setting my string is ...

Yes, logged in successfully. And confirmed, all tables & settings are identical to my config.

For me I remember it was the Camera_ID which was I think set to smallint and the number was bigger than the 2 bytes limit so it was not working.

That is something maybe happening in your case one way to test it is maybe try with One plate and Start Testing the data by manually uploading Or even filling each column in the database and see which one errors out.. That is How I troubleshooted my particular issue.

Like mine is set to this currently..

That is what I had to change to get mine to work. Again yours maybe something along those lines which could be the reason.. Good Luck !!

Awesome !! Glad to see You up and running ! I think That is how some accounts csv are coming with higherner number which is fine. for me I have to change camera_id and sounds like for you it was also company. Thank you Dlong2 also. So guide was working sounds like it was just for you that company setting also needed to be changed apart from camera_id.

I just noticed this morning at 6:24am seems like OPENALPR changed something my downloader stopped working.. I think its the time start and end they change. Can someone confirm if they are also being affected by this and do we have a resolution so far if yes ?

Starting to feel its the very first field they changed PK.. it is a bit higher number ..

New 847495806
in the past 846129788

I feel like that is what I need to change maybe from int to big int ? Question how do i do this on a running db ?
