So my office is moving to a new location and everything is being revamp. The guy doing are security system is using Hikvision for cameras but it feels like it would be a bad idea considering a few things. Our boss wants to be able to monitor the camera while away from the office as well as receptionist at her desk but everyone online says the cameras should be on a separate network and not accessible via the internet.(it is on a different Subnet but has internet connection right now)
I was wondering if I should look somewhere else for my NVR equipment or I could work around HikVision problems. Maybe I can look into Unifi or watchdog systems? My office building is banking so security is always priority.
