Hi All,

I recently decided to buy a PIR POE camera from AliExpress.

Despite it being Onvif compatible, I cannot for the life of me get it to play nicely with BI, i've used the supplied software to change the IP address so my network see's it, I can also get a live feed in Internet Explorer, once I installed quicktime.

I investigated further using Onvif Device Manager and I can see the live feed, annoyingly I can't change many of the settings, including the admin password ;-(

Does anyone have any experience of these devices and getting it to work in BI.

Cheers

Thank you for the reply, that actually sorted it out

For reference

Do NOT install the crappy chinese software that comes with it, i've had to do a full machine restore TWICE after doing this.

Install Onvif Device Manager

Select the PIR camera, you might have to login, username = admin / password (blank)

Choose live video and look at the rtsp stream link at the bottom (e.g. rtsp://192.168.0.242:554/user=admin_password=alJfpbw9_channel=1_stream=0.sdp?real_stream)

Go into Blue Iris, add a new camera, type in the IP address as normal

Under the path part, delete everything

Paste this in from the rtsp stream information

/user=admin_password=alJfpbw9_channel=1_stream=0.sdp?real_stream

Select OK and you should now see your camera in the Blue Iris main window
