in a case like this i would move the suspected camera to the place of a good working one and the good working one to the cable were the new one did not work. Do a factory reset to the suspected one. If the problem still exist it is the camera. With the known good one you have a result for the data and power-cables as well. True, it is annoying to climb the ladder but you have reliable results very fast.
