Yep, there's one identical to this one on the post right where he stopped to put on his mask, some make the connection, others like our Santa's little helper this morning are oblivious..
nice video. what camera is that? for some reason I can not figure out how to get my Dahua SD8A820WA-HNF to auto track. are you using a joystick?
That one is the 4MP with 1/1.8" sensor, great PTZ but about $1300+ - no thats fully automated

That's when he thought he would outsmart you and put on his mask and BS hoodlum hoodie. They need to outlaw those things. They only serve One main purpose, this day and age.
For those inquiring minds, the reason the PTZ loses track then re-acquires is because it initially picks him up via IVS at its "home" position covering the entrance. Once he gets to a certain point another fixed spotter camera (5442 6mm fixed lens) viewing the street picks him up with its IVS and calls the PTZ to go to that preset 2 because something is moving "behind it" so to speak. Then once at preset 2, PTZ IVS rules for that preset re-acquire him.
The thing to remember with spotter cams is that when they call the PTZ it drops whatever its doing and goes to the preset called by the spotter. So one has to do some noodling on IVS line locations, direction, etc and timing to not lose coverage.

Time to send the local leo a copy .. they'll appreciate having it on file under "fruit loops" for future reference.
And here's an example of the downside of running color at night, even with a 4MP 1/1.8 sensor. It breaks track like the daytime example due to the spotter, but because theyre in that dark patch and not moving much, it doesnt pick them back up until they leave.

Probably can resolve the issue with a IR spotter camera which sends an alert to the PTZ
what is truly concerning is listening to the young people going through the system that have no concern for harming or killing people. 2 months ago a friends son came over with his step brother who at the age of 15 was bragging about armed robbery, right here in Naples. his family has a long history of criminal activity and they along with their friends have no fear of getting caught as they know they will not spend much time in lockup. one of their friends even shoot at cop at Mercato to impress a female,
it's wild they brag about having sex with step moms, step sisters, etc. they have absolutely no morals, hurting and killing people gets them bragging rights

We’ll actually the spotter did its job but the ptz failed to zoom in to them because it couldn’t make them out in the dark patch.
Ive tried running the ptz in IR mode and it works quite well, almost too well with the laser IR, because the signs throw huge amounts of IR back at the camera. That and I lose that nice color information at the primary preset

the thing is most of these young people are normal good looking people that yes sir, no sir, people but they have a very dark side and it is so prevalent. they have no honor, not even amongst each other. Camera are a small part of security
Agree. My take on cameras is that they can hopefully provide good evidence after the fact. If they happen to provide deterrence now and then, that’s an unexpected bonus.

I think they're rabid more than feral. They feel entitled to anything they want without paying for it in any way. This is what our society is teaching by example and by continuing to fund more and more social giveaways. Free child care, that someone else pays for. Good, quality, education in how to be a sheep and a racist.
