Spring Canyon Middle School in Utah's Nebo School District said humans should eat bugs to protect the environment from climate change disaster wrought by cows.
Cutler [the teacher] later explained in a meeting with the parent that the "indoctrination" that humans must eat bugs to protect the environment was provided in a district training.
She explained that she did not know there were downsides to eating bugs – and apologized for not allowing students to write about an alternative perspective.
This is what's so bad about this event, IMO:
1) The person that's supposed to be teaching the sixth graders is dumber than a box of rocks.
2) This was brought about by a requirement in the district's curriculum....created and endorsed by a group that, collectively, may be only slightly smarter than that same box of rocks.
