Oregon Sen. Wyden introduces ‘sweeping’ Supreme Court reform bill
Among other things, the bill would increase the justice count from 9 to 15. And how would this help anything? If the court were functioning correctly, most decisions would be unanimous, with the judges "interpreting" the laws without political bias. Raising the judge count would do nothing to change this.
“The Supreme Court is in crisis and bold solutions are necessary to restore the public trust,” Wyden said. “More transparency, more accountability and more checks on a power hungry Supreme Court are just what the American people are asking for.”
This is a great description of the power hungry congressional democrats, which Wyden is part of. If congress did their job with reasonable laws clearly written, the supreme court wouldn't have so many things to decide on.
