Thanks... had to Find/Inspect to get it to update, but all good now.In the camera GUI, Under Network > Access Platform, turn onvif authenticator off and that should fix the error.
For substream you need to go to video tab in BI and select the substream from the pull-down.
Hmmm... I thought it was reported already, but maybe nothing important to whoever has to fix it.yes with DST on onvif stops working because of auth error
there is still no solution for this. looks like firmware bug for decades.
I can see the tag as it leaves the driveway... clear as glass, but once I make the turn onto the road, I lose it. It looks like a snowy pic.You would have to set the camera up specifically to read plates.
Keep in mind that this is a camera dedicated to plates and not an overview camera also. It is as much an art as it is a science. You will need two cameras. For LPR we need to OPTICALLY zoom in tight to make the plate as large as possible. For most of us, all you see is the not much more than a vehicle in the entire frame. Now maybe in the right location during the day it might be able to see some other things, but not at night.
At night, we have to run a very fast shutter speed (1/2,000) and in B/W with IR and the image will be black. All you will see are head/tail lights and the plate. Some people can get away with color if they have enough street lights, but most of us cannot. Here is a representative sample of plates I get at night of vehicles traveling about 45MPH at 175 feet from my 2MP 5241-Z12E camera (that is all that is needed for plates):
See the LPR subforum for more details.
I really like the 180° camera on the front. I think I'll get two more of those for the side and the back.Still on the hunt for more cameras. I've got the 45X tracking from Andy and a 180° and another LP cam at our gate/driveway end (1250ft from the house).
I have a PTZ watching the driveway at the house another watching our barn.
I need 3 more cameras where you see the yellow circles below.I'm thinking 180° for the front, but not sure about the other two.
