I was just writing to @EMPIRETECANDY about this. Change to English is easy. PM me if needed. Bigger question

New cameras delivered today also:
System Version2.640.101Z000.0.T, Build Date: 2018-07-04
WEB Version3.2.1.583791

My 2231 I purchased a few weeks ago is
System Version2.622.0000000.23.R, Build Date: 2018-03-30
WEB Version3.2.1.561950

Is this new? I just started digging around on what the "Z" means in the firmware??

Interface also doesn't say IP CAMERA and says "BULLWARK Quantum Serisi".

General one has newer firmware 20180523
The logo one 1 month older. Seems the logo one still not release the May version.
Please upgrade if cams firmware under wrong one. These firmware can support multi-languages and PAL/NTSC on one FW.

Attention, the camera we sent seems all have the firmware problem, guys please download the latest new firmware and upgrade it. So sorry for the trouble.

Thanks for the e-mail Andy. Got the cam today with the Turkish firmware. Updated and all is well.

The new shipment all comes with the new fw, and thanks guys support for the mistake! I will be back on Friday night, weekend we can fast processing again.

I'm sold and it shipped today. Ten years ago I had IP cameras setup just to monitor the kids playing outside. This will be the first camera for my new system using BI and recording. The frequency of nighttime crimes is getting too high to ignore any longer.

the Aliexpress link for the camera shows PAL. Is that correct? I need one for the US.

HI Seez52,

PAL will be fine - these are IP cameras not analog TV cameras so PAL vs NTSC makes very little difference. ( max fps is the only difference I know of - and with some of the starlights it is 50 vs 60 fps, both of which are significantly more than I want to run my cameras at ) It is possible to also update the firmware to another version, so if you really need the NTSC related fps you can do that.

Are these the best and cheapest Starlight cameras available? Quality seems to be equally impressive as 5231. What would be a decent NVR for these and am looking at 4 cameras.

They are the best you can get for the money. I honestly don't know why you would need the 5231 if the goal is simply outstanding security footage at night. Plus the "Mickey Mouse" arrangement of lens and IR lights (to Me) is more preferable for cleaning and aesthetics.

Hi @CEC4111

Q1: Are these the best and cheapest starlight cameras available?
A1: Depends on what you need / want.

Q2: What would be a decent NVR for these and am looking at 4 cameras.
A2: Only 4 cameras seems a couple too few imho, so go for at least 8 channels for the NVR. How many HDDs do you need? 1? 2? Look for 8 channel and PoE port NVRs from Andy's store. Example either NVR4x08-8P-4KS2 or NVR5x08-8P-4KS2.

Thanks Mat and appreciate your response.
Q1: My preference is good night vision and nice quality picture, I dont need the best as my house is small and its rectangular 24ft*64ft. I need 2 in front and 2 in back, I don't have wiring done to the sides, so I would leave the existing ones to cover the sides. Another factor is price as I want to spend less than $1k Canadian for the entire setup.
Q2: I prefer 8 channel, I am fine with 1 HDD and am not sure the differences between 4x08 vs 5x08 NVR's, but I want to be able to view it over a phone and also enable the security monitoring guys to hook and view if necessary.

Thanks in advance.
