@sdkid as mentioned can be mounted either way and adjusted accordingly.
With regards to your scenario of human vs car, if you have both selected for filtering then the car would be detected first and PTZ would track that as most prominent. Depending on your track time and other settings, period of time occupant is in the car etc then the PTZ may return to preset in that time and track the human as well. As mentioned all comes down to your needs, FOV, targets and ultimately config. Replying to you in DM as well

Question--- the menu system has "human" and "automobile" detection and tracking. If a car pulls in the driveway and parks, will the camera detect and switch target / tracking to the human getting out of the car instead of the motionless car?

It looks like it is flush mounted-- should it technically be "shimmed" to be plumbed true vertically? Does it matter?
I am wondering about using something like this or a home-made variation to counter the angle of the siding...
