Review - Dahua SD49225XA-HNR 2MP 25x Starlight + IR PTZ AI Camera with Deep IVS & SMD Plus

I think they decided they didn't want it in a sub $500 unit?

Blue Iris tends to interact with the PTZs more because we can set up spotter cams and PTZ tours and cycles and stuff in BI, and you can send commands to change zoom and focus and contrast and a whole bunch of other things, so this makes sure that BI isn't sending a command contradicting what you want.
that's a no-go after factory defaulting the camera. Will try the removal from BI next.

nope. since factory default, went back to factory IP so blue iris does not see it.
still same issue. totally stuck on 15 seconds. I shall investigate.

I didn't see any "oh yeah" so let's try this. Did you:
  1. Create a preset
  2. Turn off Motion Detection and Smart Motion Detection
  3. Create Smart Plan and add Deep IVS plan for the preset
  4. Go to Deep IVS and create a rule.
  5. Uncheck Tracking time and then check and change the time in seconds

when you say "tracking time" do you mean "alarm track / track time (15-300s)"? If so..yes to all above.

Does anyone have access to the System VersionV2.800.1341000.0.R.P9.2520.UN.NR, Build Date: 2020-03-12

Trying to source it but finding it very difficult. If someone could point me in the right direction that would be great.

Thank you

From the vendor you purchased it from.

i remember someone else unable to change 15s somewhere. I go search.

Here it is and IE solved it...

i'll give that a shot. Figured, trying Chrome & Chrome Igcognito, Microsoft Edge, and Pale Moon would be covering the spectrum of browsers. Doesn't hurt to try IE.

how about that...it works! I see now what was happening, though do not know why.
If using Chrome (or Edge or Pale Moon), yes...you can change the track time to 300s, save it. When you hit refresh, it comes back as 15s but really, it is actually 300s. So, must be some cache settings in newer browsers.
Did notice some other differences. In IE, there is not DEFAULT button below the IVS rules window at the bottom. Just REFRESH and SAVE.
For Chrome, Edge, Pale Moon...there is only PTZ bottom on LIVE IMAGE page (opens/closes PTZ controls). On IE, you see all 9 quick buttons.
Hmm..makes me wonder what I am missing using Chrome on all my other cameras. Ok...will use IE for now on.

oh wow. Add to the differences: with IE and the installed plug in, the live view actually shows all the IVS tripwires and detection boxes.
big difference. windows firewall was not happy about something to do with activeX, but I allowed it.
Hmph....it's so pretty now :) Even more icons (triple shot, record, etc) uptop.

At the very least make sure that you purchased one that can be updated. Many cameras are sold that are not able to be updated and then they brick the camera.

Unfortunately not. I'm hoping someone internationally will be able to help me source this firmware.
for future cameras... have you considered purchasing from Andy here on this site?

I will be purchasing these cameras from Andy with auto tracking in the future. Just wanted to get the two I already have working as there not returnable. It is for a large scale project so will be needing quite a few.
