Review-EmpireTech IPC-B52IR-X3 1/2.8" CMOS 3 × 2 MP bullet cam

Yup.

Using the NVR AI Search on just the "Master" Near channel (other two channels, Mid&Far do not record IVS events) I get results from all three sensors/lenses

Yes, the 1/1.8cmos is good, but price will bit much higher for a 2mp model, but this camera have a very strong IR compare to normal Bullet camera, so still be a good choice for some places need a wide view and also want some more details on the narrow view. Same concept on Muliti-lens PTZ camera.

Here's a question, do you have to use all 3 channels up front? Can you use only 2 channels? Like the near and farthest channels?

I don't see anyplace to turn a channel off if that what you mean, I suppose you could delete it from the Registration page on the NVR (each has its own channel) but that would just stop recording the camera would still be active. Can't imagine a benefit

Yeah it would only see 2 channels if that’s all you have. I would think, as I said, you would simply, in the camera registration , swap assign the 3rd channel (far lens) to the open Chanel vs ch2. By default ch1 and ch2 would connect if only two available channels.

^^^^^ This. Say I want to use the 3.6mm and the 25mm lenses until I have added the second NVR

What I said

Connect it to the NVR. It will use and assign two channels (if thats all you have) with different IPs. They will connect in order. If you want to change then, change the IP to the next available channel number (10.1.1.x)

You'll just have to play with it. Dont go changing too much its just a matter of NVR channels

Mine is on an external switch. It grabbed the first 3 open channels it found on the NVR. 3, 13, 14
They all show the same IP address 192.168.1.154

Or, how about this setup, a 5442-Z4E and a B54IR-ZE-S3?

Did you set all 3 lens like that? I haven't updated the firmware but I'm struggling to get it over 2048 CBR 15 FPS H.264. Whenever I do the numbers start fluctuating in blue iris and I get the error for fps key frames

Yes with minor differences.

Your problem is BI? Set the bitrate and such ON the Camera not in BI

Yep problem isn't the camera. Mine works just fine in BI.

It is likely a network bottleneck that BI is detecting.

Or insufficiently powering the camera - ironically I have seen when a POE port is failing because those errors start popping up. When I changed power, the error went away.

Hmm I've got Cat 6 and a poe switch with double the power I should need. I am running it through a separate NIC that should have 1gb speed. I'll try a different one to test.

Couldn't find anything as far as dahua camera logs, other than logins, to diagnose power issues. I'll continue trouble shooting, or i may need to make a post soon lol

It's weird because I have 6 cameras and the X3 are the ones I'm struggling with. Did you guys update the firmware since you got it?

It could be a specific port going out. We have seen that as well.

Try powering it by itself.

Also forgot, if you are using an AI codec in the camera, that will show up as those errors in BI as well.

I have not updated the firmware.

This is the perfect replacement for the Dahua IPC-HDW5231R-Z on my driveway. Purchase is being driven by the recent failure of a IPC-T549M that covers my back door. The current driveway 5231 varifocal will replace the back-door camera, and this will now provide multiple views down the driveway.
